Technology Studies was my favourite subject at school, meaning I loved the things I designed and created. This desk was no different. Being in Year 11, I knew the next few years and beyond were going to be quite labor intensive, and a solid workstation was going to make the time studying just that little bit easier. The desk features 3 modules that separate and can be transformed into different orientations - the desktop, the side cabinet and the side draws. The two side components are able to go on either side of the desk, giving it the ability to sit in any corner of a room. Along with this, the longer cabinet can extend out at 90 degrees to make one long desk. The desktop itself is hollow on the inside, allowing for the laptop holder and the accessory compartment. Along the back of the desk is a cable entry area that runs the whole length with an organisation tray sitting underneath that allows the cables to be brought off the ground. Overall the project was great to finish and finally be able to use. Lots of design problems were encountered along the way, which would not have been discovered unless it was to be actually built. A big thanks also to the Tech team at school who assisted a lot along the building process.
